JANUARY - SUGGESTIONS?

It seems I've started a little tradition of taking a low-budget, 3-week trip every January.

Typically somewhere along the California coastline.

In 2008 I volunteered at Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary over on the central coast.

In 2009 I ventured down to the heart of Los Angeles to help my cousin take care of her newborn twins.

In 2010 I will be kicking off the trip with a wedding in San Diego.

Where to go from there??????????

my mom's on drugs ;)

she had a big shoulder surgery yesterday. everything went great with that! now she's just hanging around the house with shoulder padding like a linebacker & a mini iv-pump & lots and lots of drugs! we're all taking good care of her, especially Maverick :)

just an event on campus that my boss sent me out to cover.
it was fun, i really kinda liked these kids :)

tonight i ventured out on a self-propelled assignment for the first time in ages.

went to the high school homecoming football game. shot freely.

after shooting i noticed i collected a lot of father-daughter moments.

some blissful, some unsettling, but always radiating with this sense of pride, i think.
