it's been about a month since i last produced anything creative. and i'm miserable for it. trust me when i say that i'm a nutjob right about now. my medium format film should be arriving on tuesday and so then next weekend will be dedicated to commencing my senior portfolio project. in the meantime, i edited some old photos to ease the pain a little.

before class i walked 13 blocks in the rain to the middle (of campus). the wind was too strong for the umbrella-- the wind splattered tiny beads of water across my new blue coat.

in class i fell head over heels for my professor, (againagainagain), this time it was because he related the invention of photography to a story of a coyote. the coyote had gotten stuck inside the trunk of a tree. one day a woodpecker came along and made a hole, but only big enough for the coyote to stick his nose out to breath. eventually he decided to dissemble his body and push each body part out piece by piece. his leg, his arm, his heart. he took out his intestines and pushed them through too. when he did so, a crow came and started to eat his intestines. this made the coyote so mad that he found enough strength to propel what was left of himself out of the tree and scare the crow away. once the coyote regained his self-control he said aloud, "body, come together", and piece by piece, it did.

after class i returned outside to a wet world to find that hundreds--maybe thousands-- of earth worms were scattered all across the university. i had to tiptoe around to avoid stepping on them. all through the eastside of town and over the county-line.
